1 lb white mushrooms
fresh, mushrooms tops should fit tightly around the stems
1/8 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
1/2 cup walnuts
chopped
2 tsp capers
1/4 tsp salt
butter
cookware
This recipe can be used as a hot hors d'oeuvre or served alongside steak.

Wash the mushrooms. Remove and chop the stems in a very fine dice.

Combine the chopped stems with the bread crumbs, walnuts, capers, and salt (I usually add a little more capers).

Stuff the mushroom heads with the mix, and top with a small dot of butter.

Bake in 350°F oven for 25 minutes. (Cover with foil initially and then remove after 15 minutes.)
